Salman Khan is back as everyone's favourite Chulbul Pandey, the notorious cop, who calls him Robin Hood Pandey. However, Dabangg 3 tells us that it is not his actual name! Yes, Chulbul Pandey's actual name is Dhaakad Chand Pandey. Dabangg 3 acts as both a prequel to Dabangg and a sequel to Dabangg 2. The movie is about Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan) and how a ghost from his past, Bali Singh (Kichcha Sudeepa) returns to haunt him. The story then goes into the flashback and we get to know how a good-for-nothing Dhaakad Chand Pandey transforms into legendary Chulbul Pandey.
After Abhinav Kashyap and Arbaaz Khan, it is Prabhudheva, who comes on board as the director of the film and he has given it a treatment similar to a typical South Indian masala entertainer. The structure of the film is also the same as that of South Indian entertainer. Perhaps, that works in the film's flavour. First thing first logic takes a back seat in this film, even more than the previous two films. The origin story of Chulbul Pandey is slightly different here than it was in the first Dabangg. Also, the tone of the film changes from scene to scene.
